Dr. Dan Ulmeanu is a general and thoracic surgery primary care physician with a vast experience in laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery, at present coordinating the General and Thoracic Surgery Department at REGINA MARIA Băneasa Hospital. He is also involved in oncologic surgery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams at the Breast Clinical Hospital.
Moreover, Dr. Dan Ulmeanu is also the president of the Royal Club of Physicians, where he organizes conferences and classes in various medical specialties.
Interested in lifelong professional training, Dr. Dan Ulmeanu acquired certifications in laparoscopic surgery, thoracoscopic surgery and bronchoscopy, and has taken part in a number of specialty training classes at home and abroad.
From the very outset of his professional career, Dr. Dan Ulmeanu distinguished himself by performing, as a national premiere, treatment procedures and innovative surgical techniques, as well as developing medical instruments for laparoscopic, thoracoscopic and general surgery. Dr. Ulmeanu can be considered a promoter of laparoscopic surgery in Romania.
Willing to share his knowledge and experience, Dr. Ulmeanu has taken an interest in post-grad training, giving lectures on laparoscopy and thoracoscopy at “Titu Maiorescu” University in Bucharest. He also published 4 treatises and specialized volumes.
As a reward for his remarkable achievements, Dr. Dan Ulmeanu was presented with numerous awards from the Romanian Thoracic Surgery Society, for his contribution to the development of thoracic surgery in Romania. He is a member of elite medical institutes in Romania and abroad.
